Chalk Island is a cultural, heritage, arts, landscape and knowledge‑based CIC. We produce imaginative projects that connect people with place. Through creativity, research and collaboration, we explore stories and lived experience to strengthen communities.
Our practice
We design and deliver community‑led heritage projects. Our work brings together creative production, research and engagement to deliver measurable community and social value. This includes:
capturing oral histories
delivering creative workshops
producing exhibitions and events
working with communities to map culture, heritage, landscape and memory
coordinating partnership projects and activities - creating practical outputs that connect people with place.
