Luppitt Landscape Recovery Project

The Luppitt Landscape Recovery Project was a community project that set out to capture and share the living heritage of the Luppitt valley in East Devon.

As part of a wider DEFRA Landscape Recovery scheme, we worked with residents and stakeholders to create a body of work rooted in people’s experiences of place. This included

Alongside this, we created spaces for the wider community to contribute - through story‑share sessions, creative workshops and informal events. This resulted in newly surfaced photographs, historical insights and community perspectives on the landscape.

Together, these outputs were designed not just to document heritage, but to create practical, engaging resources that connect people with place and support future community, cultural and environmental work in the valley.
